Maya is responsible for curating the Union’s diverse event calendar, which includes weekly debates, special lectures, and interdisciplinary panels that bring together students from across Oxford’s faculties. She designs events to address timely and controversial topics, such as the ethics of AI in healthcare or the future of European integration, ensuring each event attracts a broad audience and sparks meaningful conversation. Maya also manages the Union’s social media presence for events, creating promotional materials and live updates to engage both in-person and virtual attendees. She works closely with the Union’s technical team to ensure debates are recorded and shared online, extending the society’s reach beyond the Oxford campus to a global audience of students and thinkers.
